The last few weeks have been a reminder of what’s truly important in my life. I’ve reminisced and gone through many different emotions while letting go of my mother. Most of all, I have felt gratitude for the relationship we’ve had all these years, especially recently.
I unplugged from social media and my inbox to fully feel through this pivotal time. I reconnected and received lots of love and care from dear family and friends. Taking time away from other priorities was essential to starting the healing process.
I recommend unplugging from time to time and this season is a wonderful time to do it. Creating space in your life for rest and reflection is very important. I suggest also taking time to review the previous year and fully examine what you were happy about. You have the power to create the moments in your life that are meaningful. Setting intentions or a theme for the coming year is a wonderful way to usher in more of the life you want to live.
I will be doing these things, as well as goofing around with my kids, singing karaoke at a family gathering and dreaming with Peter about what we hope the year will hold. You will hear from me again on January 10, 2018, when I will share with you some of the intentions I hope to bring to life in this blog in the coming year.
Until then, may you and yours experience a blessed Christmas and holiday season. I appreciate you!
Many Blessings,
Sheila
